Berryman's uncommon second book, a slim collection of poems, this copy INSCRIBED and SIGNED by the poet on the title page to the critically-acclaimed essayist Edward Hoagland: "To Ted Hoagland/affectionately/John Berryman/mpls/21 mar '59." Berryman, along with Archibald MacLeish, was a mentor to Hoagland when he attended Harvard in the early 1950s. A superb association copy. Fine in a Very Good envelope with light wear .
